Welcome to The Tack Alchemist!!! My name is Rachel Robertson and I am the owner/founder!

The Tack Alchemist's primary goal is to restore and replenish previously well loved, older horse tack that needs attention before becoming salable, as well as focusing on mid to high end pre-owned tack and apparel sprinkled with some new or gently used items.

The Tack Alchemist idea came to me as I have been battling disabling chronic illness and acute medical issues that took me far, far away from being seated in the tack and even around horses. Tack cleaning and restoration has allowed me to stay focused and integrated in the community that I love and that means so much to me. While I endure treatment, surgeries and rehabilitation I very much look forward to staying connected to the horse world through my love of tack and tack cleaning!

I will be offering my services to purchase directly outright your older well loved in need of some TLC mid-high end tack items as well as take on some (case-by-case) saddles on consignment. We are located in Sonoma County, California.

What We Do

With 20+ years experience, The Tack Alchemist specializes in taking previously used, loved, worn, and tired English leather items such as bridles, halters, saddles, and boots, and transforms them giving them a new lease on life! (see photo to the right) , We also carry new and gently used quality tack and English riding apparel.
