OWNER/FOUNDER RACHEL ROBERTSON

From a very young age, Rachel could often be found perched on an upside-down grain bucket in the corner of the old red barn, meticulously taking apart, cleaning and reassembling tack. The importance of taking care of her tack was instilled in her from the get-go; however Rachel’s fascination with ALL things horse related had sparked her curiosity to learn and absorb as much information about the craftsmanship and design behind the tack she owned and that which she often cleaned for the trainers at the large eventing barn she rode at. More than twenty-five years of assessing, cleaning, repairing and repurposing tack has given her an almost encyclopedic understanding of not just what looks good - but what truly works to provide comfort for both horse and rider and to develop and strengthen the almost symbiotic relationship on a sacred level.

While choosing tack that is appropriate and beautiful is central to the alchemy, developing the bonds of friendship and understanding with her customers comes a very close second.
